I would suggest that the Science Museum, in South Kensington, London, is a good place to learn about addiction to machines of all forms.  Especially robot machines.   

Are all machines bad?

No.  All machines are good, with the exception of all E-meters, Hitler's toaster, and the Datsun Stanza, which are extremely evil.  With the exception of these, all machines are good, and all machines go to heaven.  However, some machines, such as Heroic Robot, must fulfil their design goals before they may be considered for the Place of Blessed Release.  These things ain't cheap!
